Where my feet stand

Written by me from November 2020 —

“Hello I’m Jet, a former aggie and aspiring creative. I used to work for an engineering firm, and I used to shoot graduating seniors back when photography was just an interest of mine.

Now standing on uneven surfaces, I work at a Starbucks just barely making enough to cover rent and then some. I did always want to be a barista and maybe when I get to that retirement age, I’ll open my own coffee shop, but this is not the type of work I’m so passionate about. I have a passion in travel and people and art. I want to take images with depth that carry deeper emotion and more complex character. I want to run over the traumas that have caused my self-confidence to dwindle. I want to take photos and grow in my creativity. That is what I’ve always set my mind to.”

Written by me, now (Jan. 2022)—

Hey there I’m Jet, a full-time photographer. It took me a year to build and continue to set my head straight, and I’m nowhere close to my goal but I’m nowhere close to where I was before and for that I’m thankful. I’ve failed countless of times but all of it is worth the trouble. That’s all I have to say, if this were a letter to my past self.

Enjoy these highlights of 2021 where I lost track of taking photos of where I was standing and instead enjoyed the view of where I’m headed.
